Overview:
Waters Corporation is currently leading a search for a 1st shift Maintenance Mechanic to join our organization. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience with a wide varity of equipment and utility systems.
Responsibilities:
This position requires a self-starter who is able to work independently with a wide variety of equipment in an ISO 9000 environment.
In this role, the individual will troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance (PM) tasks in a highly automated chemical manufacturing environment. The equipment the candidate will be working on will include:
* Reactors, Filters and Drying Ovens
* Chillers, Air Compressors, Boilers, Pumps
* HVAC units, Cooling Towers and Heat Exchangers.
Qualifications:
Education:
* High School diploma - minimum
* Technical trade degree is a plus
Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years previous experience in repair and maintenance required.
* Basic pipe fitting experience
Skills:
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Basic computer skills
* Ability to comprehend and follow written procedures and documentation
* Ability to learn new processes
* Excellent communication skills
