Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager serves as a strategic and administrative leader overseeing maintenance operations for Xanterra's facilities within Yellowstone National Park. This role manages a team of year-round and seasonal professionals, ensuring work meets company standards, safety regulations, and sustainability goals. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, operational planning, and cross-departmental coordination skills, leading through delegation, systems management, and staff empowerment.

The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $1,374.00/Weekly
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:

* Recruit, on-board, train, and manage performance of maintenance staff.
* Provide guidance and support to ensure team effectiveness.
* Delegate responsibilities while maintaining accountability.
* Manage scheduling and staffing, including after-hours on-call coverage.
* Develop and implement cyclic, predictive, and preventive maintenance programs.
* Align operations with long-term facility goals and sustainability initiatives.
* Review construction and remodeling plans for maintenance efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with OSHA General Industry (1910) and Construction (1926) standards.
* Promote a culture of safety and risk awareness.
* Attend NPS inspections and resolve identified issues promptly.
* Enforce company safety and environmental policies.
* Act as liaison between maintenance, other departments, contractors, and NPS.
* Ensure clear communication for resource allocation and prioritizing.
* Foster a respectful and inclusive work environment.
* Maintain accurate records in CMMS (Maximo) and other systems.
* Utilize Microsoft Office and timekeeping tools (Dayforce).
* Monitor inventory and ensure adequate stock of repair parts and supplies.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

* Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience required; familiarity with Maximo preferred.
* Proven leadership in facilities maintenance and team-building skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
* Strong organizational and strategic planning skills.
* Excellent communication abilities.
* Ability to lead teams toward shared goals.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CMMS, and timekeeping systems.
* Knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to interpret construction drawings.

Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):

* Advanced knowledge of facility maintenance and operations; hospitality industry experience preferred.
* Relevant certifications (HVAC, electrical, OSHA 30).
* Experience with historic preservation and remote operations.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Physical Requirements include:

* Capable of walking long distances over uneven terrain and climbing stairs/ladders in all weather conditions.
* Able to perform physically demanding tasks including standing, bending, kneeling, and crawling for extended periods.
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
* Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and a safe driving record for the past 3 years.
* Must be able to work at elevations of more than 7700 feet.
