Overview:
* Tier One Technologies is seeking a Mainframe Support Operator/Administrator to work with our US Government client.
* This will be a 100% remote Contract-to-Hire position.
* Must be a US Citizen.
* SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for supporting a large mainframe payroll application.
* Operate, monitor, and assist in the maintenance and integrity of the mainframe, peripherals, servers, and network.
* Participate in Disaster Recovery and provided first level help desk support.
* Able to adapt to various operational duties in customized data centers.
* Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
* Perform systems security administration functions.
* Other duties may include maintaining system documentation, system performance, and installing system wide software.
* Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
* Interact with users.
Qualifications:
* Prior relevant experience in the IBM mainframe environment.
* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
* Must be a US Citizen (no dual citizenship).
* Ability to obtain DoD Public Trust clearance.
* Must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years.
* Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.
