An individual could be successful if they possess the following. Responsibilities: Reports to: Mutuels/Simulcasting Manager / Mutuel Representative Primary Purpose: Accept wagers and pay winning tickets. Primary source for wagering information. Responsibilities: * Take wagers from customers, answer basic betting questions and pay winning tickets. * Receive daily cash bankroll and verify; prepare cash for 'skim'; close out cash bankroll and give money to Mutuel Representative. * Obtain needed cash for completion of customer transaction. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High School Diploma Work Experience: Money handling experience in a fast-paced environment preferred. Strong customer service skills. Skills: * Successful completion of six-hour mutuel training school in which operation of the wagering terminal is taught. * Must pass a qualifying test which gauges knowledge of horse racing and wagering formats.
