Responsibilities:

* Responsible for pre-analytic, analytic and post analytic collection and processing of samples.  
* Must be able to properly maintain and operate instrumentation and equipment.  
* Will perform quality control and interpret results as well as follow up with corrective action when needed.  
* Will perform patient testing, review results and release results accurately into the Laboratory Information System (LIS). 
* Will run proficiency testing samples as required by compliance. 
* Other responsibilities will include answering phone calls and ordering testing in the LIS.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree

Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist Certification recognized by American Society of Clinical Pathologists, American Medical Technologist or American Association of Biolanalysts within 6 months of hire

or

Associates Degree

Medical Laboratory Technician Certification recognized by American Society of Clinical Pathologists, American Medical Technologist or American Association of Biolanalysts within 6 months of hire

Preferred

6-12 months lab experience
