Overview:
Waters is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of a Mass Spectrometry Specialist. Responsibilities include driving sales of our Mass Spectrometer product line including tandem quadrupole, time of flight instruments, High Resolution MS - as well as promote solutions across all product lines including LC, Software, Consumables and Services, for the region. The desired candidate should be a self starter in developing and implementing a Territory Business Plan working in unison with their assigned account managers, specialists and marketing colleagues in delivering an aggressive call cycle and business development activities. The foundation of the Mass Spectrometry Specialist role is to develop a keen understanding of the customers' needs and challenges, designing solutions with lasting and meaningful business impact to our customers.
This position will be located in Southern California.
Responsibilities:
Essential Elements of LC/MS Specialists

* Meet and Exceed Sales Targets
* Maintain installed-base customer satisfaction
* Aggressively develop new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts
* Visit customers daily to highlight Waters solutions and help customers with any technical obstacles in their way
* Build technical competency on Waters solution and to be perceived by customers as a credible resource
* Maintain current knowledge on vertical markets dynamics, application trends, and other critical business information
* Provide information to marketing team to create business development programs
* Fully utilize of our Sales Contact Management Tools and Applications
* Submit accurate and timely monthly sales forecasts
* Develop business through monthly plan of action
Qualifications:
Education
* Bachelors Degree, Masters, or PhD in scientific area such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry with expereince in mass spectrometry
Work Experience
* 3+ years MS experience
* UPLC, Mass Spec, field sales and/or marketing is a plus
* Overnight travel is required and international travel as needed
