Are you a talented MS SQL DW Developer seeking new challenges? Inteqna Markham is currently recruiting for a MS SQL Dataware house Developer for an opportunity for a client in Lindsay (1 day a week required onsite) - work out of Whitby or Home office the other days. In this role, you ll be responsible for planning, designing, programming and implementing new software systems, as well as maintaining the existing applications. You will use your strong knowledge to create system interfaces using coding engines and various programming languages, as specified by user requirements and functional specs. You will also be responsible for testing, analyzing and modifying software systems once they have been released into the production environment. Accountabilities: * Plan, develop, test and document computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. * Evaluate user requests for new or modified programs to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities. * Create and implements application rules as required by the stakeholders. * Prepare flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate sequence of steps the program must follow, and describe logical operations involved. * Analyze, review and alters programs to find new methodologies to gain efficiencies. * Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding and corrections. * Write user manuals to describe installation and operating procedures, and assist users in solving operating problems. Requirements: * Post secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent is required. * Proven ability to develop applications in multiple programming environments. * Solid programming skills in MS SQL Server with SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and .Net Technologies * Experience with data analysis, design and implementation, including working with end users to effectively assess business requirements and define programming needs. * CIP designation or insurance industry experience is considered an asset. * Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. * The ability to perform moderate mathematical calculations is required.
