Responsibilities:
The role of the Maintenance Trades Helper (VIDS-Engineering Dept) is to provide day-to-day installation support for a variety of Video, audio as used in navigation and communication systems installation on ship and ashore. Some of the installation support will include but not be limited to cable and equipment removal, grinding, cutting, and fire-watch duties. This position reports to the LAB / Installation Supervisor.
Pay Rate: $20- $25/Hourly
Work Model: Onsite
Qualifications:
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
* Participate in the Video Assembly Production LAB and work under the LAB Subject matter expert to operate LAB Equipment to include Advanced Label Maker/Cutting Machines as well as Laser Etching Devices. Expectation in some general knowledge in the operation of these devices is expected.
* Additional responsibilities will include production assembly of video systems sub-assemblies.
* Can read and interpret assembly instructions provided by the LAB SME.
* Maintain weekly LAB Status on all equipment stored and or operational status of all lab equipment.
* Working closely with the government sponsor(s) and other contractors/subcontractors in federal facilities
* Assist SME'S, Electronics technicians & welders with mechanical systems installations such as duct work and piping.
