Responsibilities:
The Loss Recovery Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that the team meet their goals by providing operational support, coaching, training, and leadership throughout the charge off recovery process. The Loss Recovery Supervisor will also bring charged off auto loan accounts to resolution by negotiating payment in full or settlement and initiating legal action as appropriate.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Provide training, coaching, and support to charge off recovery specialists and repossession specialists.
* Ensure that assigned teams meet their daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
* Streamline processes and procedures to ensure efficiency.
* Receive/make inbound and outbound calls to current and former customers with charged off accounts to negotiate re-payment or settlement on account(s).
* Perform extensive skip tracing and asset searches as necessary. May use outside skip tracing services as needed.
* Recommend initiation of legal actions as appropriate.
* Coordinate approved legal action with the consumer litigation department.
* Ensure timely filing of actions in accordance with established performance standards. Monitor and report the status of legal actions.
* Assists the AVP of Loss Recovery in the administration, supervision, and operational tasks.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role; preferably in the auto finance industry.
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience in collections and charged-off accounts in the non-prime auto industry.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
* Ability to interact with customers in a professional, tactful and sensitive manner.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Strong leadership and attention to detail.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Legal background a plus.
* Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
Salary: $68,640.00 - $83,200.00 + Bonus
