Overview: We are looking for a candidate that can thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment. The Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing minor repairs and inspections on vehicles in a quick thorough manner, as assigned, and in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and standards. The Express Lube Technician is also responsible for communicating with the management team, service consultant and the guest at all points of service repair. This is a full-time position, our Express Lube Technicians get to work with an amazing team and by working for Longo Lexus, they are surrounded by only the best. The Express Lube Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation between $19.00. The position may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit. *This position is 100% on site at Longo Lexus in El Monte, CA. Perks of working with us: * Weekly Pay - get paid every Friday. * 401k with a generous Company match * Vacation (accruals earned on Full Time or Part Time status) * Vision, dental, and medical care benefits available to any team full time team member * Team member Referral Bonus Program * Tuition reimbursement * Discounts with Corporate Partners like GE, Dell, Oakley, Yeti, Ray Ban, and many more . * Development and growth opportunities * Free Employee Parking * On-site gym, free of charge to team members Responsibilities: * Performs oil changes on guest vehicles * Inspects oil, cabin, air filters and vehicle fluid level and replaces or replenishes as necessary * Check's tire pressures and adds air, as needed * Rotates tires and inspects brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs * Performs a thorough check of guest's vehicles, refers needed repairs and preventive maintenance to ASM * Documents all work performed on repair order and inspection sheet * Operates and maintains in good condition all lubrication equipment * Assists the service department, as needed * Operated all tools and equipment in a safe manner * Achieves the production objectives set by management * Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner * Maintains high ethical standards in all actions * Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance Qualifications: * A high school diploma or equivalent; Automotive Program/School required or currently enrolled. * A minimum of one (1) year automotive repair experience, desired; or a combination of education and experience * Comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance required * Fully proficient in basic mathematical principles and application (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages) * Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles; determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it * Must have great attention to detail and ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language * A California driver's license, and an acceptable driving record are required Physical demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
