Credence has an upcoming need for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our AI/ML project supporting critical Department of Defense (DoD) supply chain operations by processing billions of transactions annually. The ideal candidate is a senior-level expert in defense logistics and data exchange who can provide technical direction and develop innovative solutions for complex problems

Responsibilities:

* Serve as a technical expert on executive-level project teams, providing technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives.
* Guide the successful completion of major programs, potentially functioning in a project leadership role
*  Develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
* Provide expert analysis on policies, procedures, and data standards related to MILSTRIP, MILSTRAP, MILSBILLS, and SDR.
* Apply first-hand knowledge of DLA Distribution Depot operations and DLA Materiel Management operations and their supporting automated systems (e.g., Distribution Standard System, Enterprise Business System).
* Think independently and demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications:

* Must possess an active IT-II security clearance or a current NACLC.
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, OR a specific logistics function (finance, supply, contract administration, transportation, operations research).
* Possesses expert knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) policies, business procedures, and rules governing the defense logistics enterprise.
* Demonstrates proficiency with data and transaction standards in both modern (DLMS) and legacy formats that underpin critical logistics and financial processes.
* Provides analysis and guidance on core military standard systems, including:
* Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP)
*  Military Standard Transaction Reporting and Accountability Procedures (MILSTRAP)
* Military Standard Billing System (MILSBILLS)

* Offers expertise on processes and systems, such as Supply Discrepancy Reporting (SDR/WebSDR), the DoD Activity Address Directory (DoDAAD)/Military Assistance Program Address Directory (MAPAD), and the Logistics Metrics Analysis Reporting System (LMARS).
* Guides project teams on matters related to DLA Distribution Depot operations and their supporting automated information systems (e.g., Distribution Standard System) and advises on DLA Materiel Management operations (e.g., Enterprise Business System).
* Functions in a project leadership role to develop creative technical solutions for complex problems, demonstrating exceptional communication and guidance.
