Overview:
This Position is physically located in Iraq
Logistics Coordinator II is responsible for assisting the Program's Logistical requirements. Interacting and with host nation officials, ministries, military, government, police and persons. Maintains records and logs of material / logistics received, transferred, allocated, held and disposed; coordinates material transfers throughout the AOR, conducts periodic material inventories, and prepares report of material / logistical status. Maximizes logistical expediting capabilities for operational support of the Task Order.
Responsibilities:
This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
* Supervises all logistics operations during contingency surge
* Provides host nation cultural and logistics support for all exchanges with host nation entities in support of the program
* Provide translating services in support of the resolution of various issues.
* Works with Supply Chain in providing cultural and logistics support in support of leases and contracts.
* Communicates professionally, both oral and written in English and Tagalog.
* Responsible for expediting, ordering, and tracking material request and perform clerical and manual duties in program areas including receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering
* Identifies, plans, expedites, and coordinates workload assignments to optimize use of resources to include personnel and equipment management in support of materials
* Coordinate with Shipping and Broker for inbound or outbound shipment via ground, air or sea.
* Experience with FACTS- DOD automated Air Clearance System to clear shipments into the Defense Transportation System (DTS).
* Provides management direction and oversight to include overseeing day to day material/logistical expediting control operations. This may include but not limited to inventory reporting, proper material storage, material receiving, shipping and preparation of all supporting documentation.
* Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
OCN Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration or Public Affairs or equivalent
* Must be able to read, write and speak English
Experience:
* Must have a minimum of six (6) years of experience managing in a similar environment which could include military service.
* Must possess a high degree of English comprehension, including speaking, understanding, reading, writing and typing
* Must possess a high degree of knowledge and competency with regards to local customs, culture, laws and exchanges in Iraq.
* Must be capable of effectively communicating technical information, both written and verbal.
Skills:
* Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Interpersonal and communication skills are requirements of this position as there is constant interaction with program management
* Must be detailed oriented and organized
* Must have a Philippine Driver's License to operate a motor vehicle
Working Conditions:
Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements:
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
