Overview: MHM Services of California, a Centurion company, is proud to be the provider healthcare staffing to the California Department of State Hospitals. We are currently seeking a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (Night shift 11pm-7am) to join our team at Coalinga State Hospital located in Coalinga,CA. $35.00 per hour + Shift differentials and benefits Responsibilities: The LVN will work under general supervision to provide a basic level of general nursing care to forensic patients with mental, emotional, or developmental disabilities. The LVN will also perform related work such as developing and encouraging participation in and supervision for patient activities. With the exception of starting IVs, the LVN administers oral medications, performs custody tasks, maintains patient's optimal motor function, and performs treatments and procedures. This role works with other disciplines as part of the treatment team to provide an overall treatment program for the patients. Qualifications: * Possession of a valid license to practice as a LVN issued by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners * Knowledge of fundamentals of nursing care * Current CPR certification
