Overview: MHM Services of California, a Centurion company, is proud to be the provider healthcare staffing to the California Department of State Hospitals. We are currently seeking several full-time Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Coalinga State Hospital located in Coalinga, California. $40.00 per hour + great benefits and PAID time off Responsibilities: The Licensed Psychiatric Technician will work under general supervision to provide a basic level of behavioral and psychiatric nursing care in order to facilitate the rehabilitation of forensic clients, patients, or inmates. This includes observing and intervening on any behavior that may injure people, damage property, or signal impending escape attempts. The Psychiatric Technician will also be responsible for escorting individuals into the facility and performing searches, inspecting mail for any contraband, and inspecting the facilities for any potential safety breaches. Qualifications: * Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE * Knowledge medical terminology and first aid methods * Ability to pass a drug test & background investigation required
