Overview:
As a Licensed Mental Health Clinician NC, your primary focus will be on delivering competency restoration to both groups and individuals. In addition to conducting psychosocial assessments and providing individual solution-focused treatment, you'll play a crucial role in crisis intervention. Your responsibilities extend to maintaining accountability through meticulous documentation and active participation in the Quality Improvement program, while also offering mental health consultation to Facility/Unit personnel and fostering effective communication channels.
Responsibilities:
* Lead group and individual sessions, specializing in competency restoration training for patients.
* Conduct thorough psychosocial evaluations to inform comprehensive patient care strategies.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary care for assigned caseload, actively participating in treatment team meetings.
* Offer timely crisis intervention services to patients, ensuring a responsive and supportive approach.
* Provide institutional staff with training on human behavior and mental health issues, adhering to the institution's program. Maintain meticulous documentation of individual patient progress and treatment goals in mental health files, while also participating in staff meetings and training programs to uphold Facility standards.
Qualifications:
Education
* Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or closely related behavioral science field from an accredited college or university
Experience
* Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, assessment and treatment of major mental disorders, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation
Licenses/Certifications
* This position requires a license or immediate ability to become licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Psychology Associate, or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
