Licensed Massage Therapist- Carbondale, IL PRN)

				Overview:

NovaCare Rehabilitation is looking for a PRN Licensed Massage Therapist for our  Carbondale, IL location. The therapist will be responsible for performing therapeutic massages to patients, as well as to provide massage services for self-pay clients.  This is a new service for this clinic and the local market.  Will start PRN but there is opportunity for this to transition into a part time and/or full time position based on client load.  Hours available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5:00 pm to provide services while clinic is open.

Responsibilities:

* Perform soft tissue mobilization.
* Assist with facility upkeep; laundry, clean tables.
* Provide services for self-pay massage clients and massage demonstrations at events.
* Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
* Subject to limitations imposed by state and/or local law.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift.
* Ability to move/manipulate persons or objects.
* Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction.
* Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions. Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility and in the community.
* Fine motor skills adequate for scheduling and preparing patients, equipment, and supplies for treatment.
* Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor law

Required Credentials:

* High school diploma or GED required.
* Professional Certification through American Massage Therapy Association required.
* Therapeutic Massage Licensure required where required by state law.
