Overview: We have a great opportunity at our Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic in Fort Worth, TX We are looking for a Full Time Onsite License Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our amazing team at Pediatrix Medical Group. At Pediatrix, we are passionate about giving high-risk expectant mothers and their babies the care they deserve. Our maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialists are experts in their field, highly educated and experienced. Above all, they provide compassionate care to the patients we serve each year, providing quality care throughout a mother's pregnancy, as well as during delivery and afterward. Responsibilities: The LVN provides direct patient care and works with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients in an office based setting. * Possess and maintain a State Licensed Practical Nursing license. * Accurately calculate medication dosages. * Assists the physicians and nurse practitioners as needed. * Provides telephone triage and properly documents all patient, physician and other contacts. * Participates in revenue cycle by ensuring authorizations and referrals are in place and notifying the Billing Associate of needs for further authorizations. * Documents correct CPT and ICD-10 codes for services provided. * Cleans, stocks, and prepares examination rooms. Keep rooms comfortable for patients, physicians and nurse practitioners. * Monitors medical supply inventory. * Maintains patient confidentiality. * Communicates effectively and courteously with and demonstrates a caring attitude toward patients and their families. * Treats all patients and their families with dignity and respect. * Uses standards of patient satisfaction as a measure of effectiveness. * Follows universal precautions and OSHA standards. * Performs other assigned duties as directed. Qualifications: Education Level: LVN state license required. Experience Years: Minimum 2 years experience as an LVN nurse working in OB/GYN and/or MFM setting preferred. Experience Industry: Healthcare * Must maintain CPR certification. * Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. * Compassion for the patients and their families. * Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work well as part of a healthcare team. * 10-15% travel required for clinic coverage if needed.
