Job Summary
As a Multi-Line Claim Specialist, you will investigate and adjust general liability and related claims across Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi. This role supports a single dedicated commercial trucking client, offering a consistent and focused workload. You will manage a full desk independently while collaborating with team members and client partners to drive claim resolutions in compliance with best practices, legal standards, and client expectations.

Litigation experience is highly preferred, as you will work closely with defense counsel and external vendors.

Responsibilities:

* Investigate, evaluate, and adjust multi-line claims (primarily liability) in compliance with company procedures, state laws, and client requirements

* Establish and maintain reserves within your authority; make reserve recommendations as needed

* Review and process medical, legal, and miscellaneous invoices to ensure reasonableness and relatedness

* Negotiate settlements and authorize payments within established limits

* Coordinate with external vendors, including legal counsel, surveillance teams, and nurse case managers

* Monitor subrogation and pursue recovery where applicable

* Provide timely and professional communication with clients, claimants, attorneys, and internal stakeholders

* Attend mediations, depositions, and hearings as necessary

* Maintain a thorough and accurate claim diary and documentation

* Comply with all corporate claim handling standards and special client instructions

* Participate in internal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives

Qualifications:
Required:
* Minimum of 3 years of general liability and/or multi-line claims experience

* Home state adjuster's license (must be valid and active)

* Strong understanding of liability claim handling procedures and legal processes

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Strong time management and organizational abilities

* Comfortable with hybrid work, including in-office collaboration two days per week

Highly Preferred:
* 8+ years of claims experience

* Prior litigation handling experience

* Experience handling commercial auto or trucking-related claims

* AIC, ARM, or CPCU designation
Performance Metrics
* Compliance with CCMSI's Best Practices and diary standards

* Quality and completeness of file documentation

* Timeliness of claim resolution and communication

* Adherence to client-specific instructions and service expectations

* Audit and quality review scores
