Responsibilities: The Liability Claims Associate is responsible for conducting office investigations and adjusting commercial general liability claims. The Claims Associate is also responsible for, but not limited to: * Investigating losses and identifying coverage issues * Obtaining and reviewing evidence, reports, and medical records * Taking statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses * Negotiate settlements with claimants and claimant's attorneys * Research state laws and medical terms This position requires daily contact with claimants and/or their attorneys, as well as routine contact with insureds and agents. Qualifications: Qualifications: * Prior experience adjusting claims (liability experience preferred) * Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma/GED required * Must successfully pass Adjuster licensing exam upon hire (then obtain & maintain any other adjuster licenses as required.) *Company covers the cost of the exam, study materials, and provides a week for self-study to prepare for the exam * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong organizational and computer skills * Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize * The ability to make decisions independently and to multitask
