Responsibilities:

* Advises employees and managers on the organization's leave programs, including Federal, State/Provincial or municipal legislation, maternity or paternity leave, medical or disability leave, military leave.  
* Determines and explains pay continuation (if applicable) to the employee and manager.  
* Administers and coordinates the preparation and dissemination of required leave forms.  
* Analyzes leave claims or requests, determines employee eligibility, liaises with managers and Employee Relations managers in the development of alternate work arrangements or coordination of coverage, and manages employee return to work or separation. 
* Tracks leaves and oversees PTO/pay in UKG and coordinates with employee, manager, HR/Payroll. 
* Ensures compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education

* Performs work under general supervision. 
* Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. 
* Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. 
* May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. 
* Bachelor's degree preferred and 2 to 4 years of experience in HR
* Leave Management or Benefits experieince required.

* Ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels within the organization. 
* Strong decision-making, interpersonal, and judgment skills
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize. 
* Strong time management skills required.
