Lead Warehouse

Responsibilities:
* Work with management to determine the amount of time necessary to complete given projects and assign human resources accordingly to ensure on-time completion.
* Assist in the execution of project work by fulfilling sales orders and preparing orders for shipment.
* Maintain accurate project files as required by the management team; copying and filing may be required.
* Employ best in class procedures for receiving inventory from our 3rd party vendors; verifying quantities, inspecting merchandise, alerting individuals/teams who are affected by delivery and oversee proper storage of received materials.
* Attend meetings as necessary to ensure proper project planning and to elevate any issues that may become obstacles to meeting deadlines.
* Inspect finished goods, kits, and projects for defects; work directly with 3rd party suppliers and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of purchased goods and services.
Qualifications:
* Associate's Degree or equivalent job-related experience required
* 3-5 years of experience in warehouse and/or fulfillment center operations
* Good interpersonal skills
* Strong prioritization skills
* Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
* Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, web-browsers, and Navision Accounting/Inventory Software system

Position Summary

Assist with the receiving function of the warehouse; ensure goods are received in good order, verify correct quantities, etc., and maintain vendor relationships to order products and materials for the warehouse.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Scheduling work teams
* Work with management to determine amount of time necessary to complete given projects and assign human resources accordingly to ensure on-time completion.
* Manage limited human resources against project load that is constantly evolving.
* Resolve project scheduling conflicts as they arise.
Packing kits
* Assist in the execution of project work by fulfilling sales orders and preparing orders for shipment.
General facilities administrative work
* Maintain accurate project files as required by management team; copying and filing may be required.
Receiving inventory
* Employ best in class procedures for receiving inventory from our 3rd party vendors; verifying quantities, inspecting merchandise, alerting individuals/teams who are affected by delivery and oversee proper storage of received materials.
* Print and distribute sales orders for processing by warehouse crew. Work with Product Sales team to receive sales orders and route to internal teams for timely and accurate processing.
Project status update meetings
* Attend meetings as necessary to ensure proper project planning and to elevate any issues that may become obstacles to meeting deadlines.
Quality Control
* Inspect finished goods, kits, and projects for defects. Address and resolve quality issues as they are discovered.
Vendor/Supplier Management
* Work directly with 3rd party suppliers and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of purchased goods and services. Negotiate pricing and issue purchase orders where necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
Education Level: (Required) Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience:
3-5 years of experience in warehouse and/or fulfillment center operations

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed in a retail in-store environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 74 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections). Also required to travel and drive. The use of proper safety practices when handling the products and/or cooking is essential.
