This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, which includes the ability to work from home, while also requiring to be in person as needed at our Lakeside and/or Clayton Corporate HQ campus locations in St. Louis, Missouri. Responsibilities: The Rental Billing department is responsible for the maintenance and management of the billing, commissions and invoicing software for customers who rent globally from Enterprise Mobility, including the software which transforms rentals from our Franchise Partners into Enterprise. This also includes maintaining and managing interfaces with internal applications to deliver electronic data to external organizations and customers. Through efforts such as Greenlight, we are excited to leverage new technologies, reduce complexities in our solutions, build an event driven architecture to better track data throughout our environment, introduce APIs for billing capabilities, expand our test automation, and ensure our solutions are cloud ready. As an IT Lead Test Engineer, you will apply your technical expertise and analytical skills to solve complex business problems and ensure the delivery of high‑quality software. In this role, you will evaluate quality assurance requirements to define the scope of testing and ensure comprehensive coverage of system functionality. You will design, develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test scripts that align with business and technical specifications. Beyond ensuring software quality, you will also drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and team productivity. Your leadership will help guide testing activities, promote best practices, and contribute to the overall success of project initiatives. Key Responsibilities: * Participate in daily standups/status meetings and contribute to the completion of the release by driving the quality assurance process and product validation * Define test plans, test scenarios and test scripts, as well as utilize testing tools for functional and regression testing * Test the products, measure test coverage, compile test metrics and provide test status * Expand testing coverage by assisting the automation team with identifying tests for the automated test suite * Drive the invention and adoption of tools, techniques, and advanced test methodologies * Function independently and in a team environment to overcome ambiguity and deliver results * Lead and mentor less tenured team members Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Skilled in analyzing QA requirements to determine test scope, coverage, and prioritization * Strong understanding of software quality principles and effective testing practices * Ability to think both strategically and tactically, understanding system‑level architecture while providing practical support to testing teams * Highly adaptable and collaborative, able to work effectively in fast‑paced environments with shifting priorities * Excellent communication, reporting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills * Proficiency with industry‑standard testing tools and methodologies * Proven experience in designing, developing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive manual test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirements Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veterans Qualifications: Required: * Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future * Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, or immediate surrounding area * Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities * 4+ years of related IT experience, including hands‑on, multi‑platform testing across diverse environments * Experience testing Rest-based APIs, including familiarity with Postman or similar tools * Experience with the Atlassian suite to include: Jira, Zephyr, and Confluence * Experience collaborating and coordinating test activities across multiple teams and project streams * Experience writing SQL queries and validating data through back‑end testing Preferred: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred * Experience testing on a variety of platforms such as Java, mobile & legacy applications * Experience writing, managing, and running automated tests with various tooling * Experience in Agile methodology
