				Overview:

 The Lead Technician in Hayward CA will be responsible for timely repair and maintenance of light, medium, or heavy duty Trailers to ensure a safe and efficient fleet of Heavy-Duty Trailers as well as managing employees and garage operations. Also Lathrop location onsite repairs.

$35.00 hr -  $39.00 hr DOE

Monday - Thursday 4/ 10 Hour Days  4:00 am - 3:00 pm

Responsibilities:

*  Coordinate with Fleet manager in completing shift work
*  Able to supervise 2 or more other employees, while working
*  Must update work orders, close work orders, and work with drivers
*  Must maintain, order, and update parts inventory
*  Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
*  Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
*  Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
*  Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
*  Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicle
*  Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
*  Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

* At least 5 years experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
* ASE Certifications preferred
* Commercial Driver's License class "A" or "B " preferred
* Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly 
* Must provide own hand tools & toolbox. 
* Knowledge of hand held scan tools and the process of diagnosing vehicles. 
* Ability to read schematics and familiar with process
* Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
* Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
