Responsibilities:

* Directs the work of the surveillance officers on assigned shift to ensure employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.
* Understands department objectives, standards, guidelines, and budget to achieve effective supervision of department.
* Assists in training and development of surveillance officers ensure superior customer service standards are achieved.
* Ensures that all company and departmental procedures are followed; assists various local, state, and federal authorities in various activities and investigations to ensure that procedures and laws are observed.
* Participates in any court actions relating to gaming violations in order to represent facts as obtained by department.
* Maintains daily log and reports to ensure that adequate and accurate information on surveillance activities are kept for future access.
* Understands various card counting systems including cheating methods of all games and equipment in a casino environment.
* Reports all observed violations of gaming regulations and procedures to appropriate authority in order to adhere to company reporting requirements and the Gaming and Racing Commission.
* Ensures that proper procedures for Games, Slots, Cashiers, drops, etc. are implemented and maintained.
* Responds to surveillance supervision and gaming regulators requests and other departments requests when necessary.
* Maintains a high level of awareness as to criminal and civil law as it pertains to the company.

Qualifications:

* Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude. 
* Must enjoy hosting others.
* Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.
* Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Working knowledge of surveillance equipment and digital recording systems is a plus. Prior casino surveillance or table games dealer experience or retail loss prevention is preferred.
* Experience with use of computers and windows-based programs preferred.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Must have good handwriting.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
* Able to work in a semi darkened, temperature-controlled environment of approximately 70 degrees required.
* Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
* Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in vary work areas such as confined spaces.
