Overview: POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead MRI Technologist will act as a subject matter expert for the department to include; communication, equipment maintenance, scheduling, and resolving safety, patient and team member concerns. Operates MRI equipment to obtain images for use by physicians for the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Positions patients and adjusts MRI equipment to correct setting for each examination, manipulates images to create optimal studies, distributes images to the PACS system and may reproduce images on alternate media as necessary. Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: - Associates Degree Experience: - One year of experience in MRI Licensure/Certification * American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) * Advanced Registry Certification in MRI within 12 months * Basic Life Support certification American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: - Three years experience in MRI Licensure/Certification: - Advanced Registry Certification in MRI OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
