Overview:
Lead Engineer s responsible for overall maintenace, safety and operation of the property while serving as the department head.
Responsibilities:
* Perform and oversee preventive maintenance programs.
* Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
* Repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
* Coordinate room out-of-order repairs and return rooms to inventory quickly.
* Ensure fire alarm systems, sprinklers, emergency lighting, and safety equipment are functioning properly.
* Maintain compliance with brand standards, local codes, and OSHA requirements.
* Conduct safety inspections and document corrective actions.
* Maintain the parking lot, landscaping, exterior lighting, and building appearance.
* Address cosmetic issues that impact guest satisfaction
* Coordinate contractors for specialized repairs.
* Obtain quotes and manage maintenance-related expenses.
* Monitor vendor performance and completion of projects.
* Train and supervise maintenance staff (if applicable).
* Prioritize work orders and daily assignments.
* Partner with Housekeeping and Front Desk to minimize guest impact.
* Manage maintenance budgets and purchasing.
* Track capital improvement needs.
* Recommend equipment replacements and property upgrades
* Address guest room issues.
* Complete preventive maintenance tasks.
* Respond to emergencies and after-hours calls when necessary.
* Update maintenance logs and compliance records.
Qualifications:
* HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance knowledge.
* Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
* Time management and prioritization.
* Strong communication and guest service skills.
* Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies
