EchoStar is seeking a strategic and visionary Lead Agentic AI Engineer to drive autonomous multi-agent system initiatives and define the future of generative AI products. This leadership role focuses on moving past experimental proof-of-concepts to deliver scalable, highly performant, and cost-effective solutions that drive measurable business impact and long-term innovation. Collaborating closely with business teams, product owners, and engineering units, this position translates complex workflows into resilient, production-ready microservices and architectures. By leveraging advanced agentic AI techniques, this role will actively revolutionize the entertainment industry and shape the next generation of digital entertainment experiences.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

* Mentor and lead a team of AI engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation
* Define long-term technical strategy for the AI roadmap, collaborating with leadership to align engineering design with business objectives
* Conduct architectural reviews and set standards for code quality, scalability, and security across multi-agent workflows
* Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI services and hybrid control flows, state machines, and graphs to manage multi-step reasoning
* Implement open communication protocol integrations with MCP for agent-to-tool integration and A2A for secure agent-to-agent coordination
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical agent specifications and production-ready architectures

* Technical leadership and mentorship capabilities to drive a culture of technical excellence and innovation
* Ability to define long-term technical strategies and align complex engineering designs with broader business objectives
* Strong skills in conducting architectural reviews and establishing enterprise-wide standards for code quality, scalability, and security
* Deep expertise in building hybrid control flows, state machines, and graphs to balance probabilistic LLM behavior with deterministic paths
* Advanced AI application skills, specifically regarding multi-agent orchestration frameworks and open communication protocols like MCP and A2A
* Collaboration and communication skills to bridge technical specifications with cross-functional business requirements

Additional Qualifications:

* Familiarity with agent deployment platforms and infrastructure hosting such as Bedrock AgentCore
* Experience with big data platforms and distributed systems for large-scale context processing

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field
* 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or staff-level capacity, and a proven track record of shipping LLM-powered systems into live production
* Must have at least 3 years of experience with:
* Software development and machine learning
* Containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infra such as Docker, EKS, or GitLab CI/CD
