Overview:
We're excited to hire and welcome team members to our national park locations! Xanterra Travel Collection(r) is a private company that provides concession services within national parks. All services operated by Xanterra, including lodging, dining, retail, and tour operations, are currently open and continue to operate as planned for the 2025 summer season. Any potential government layoffs within the National Park Service do not impact our positions or job offers.
The Oasis at Death Valley operates two hotels, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Our historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch offer guests a variety of accommodations. Both hotels have swimming pools that are open annually and are fed from naturally warm local springs.
The Oasis at Death Valley is seeking a Laundry Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation of washers and dryers by performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role supports the Engineering team, assists other departments as needed, and upholds safety, quality, and cooperation across the resort.
The Details:
Position Type: Year Round
Start Dates: As soon as possible on next available check in date (approximately three weeks)
Wage: $21.55/hr.

Responsibilities:
* Uses and maintains tools and equipment to keep property washers and dryers operational.
* Reads and works from schematics, installation, and maintenance manuals for various laundry equipment.
* Perform all assignments requested assuring safety, quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
* Aids other trades or departments as requested by the Director of Engineering or his/her designate.
* Maintain a spirit of cooperation within the department and throughout the property.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* A valid driver's license.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred with basic knowledge and ability to perform all of the following tasks of this craft:
* Basic knowledge and skills to work on and maintain laundry equipment.
* Ability to assist in troubleshooting domestic and commercial laundry equipment.
* Ability to read, interpret and work from laundry and electrical schematics.
Physical Demands:
* The ability to lift and carry 60 lbs.
* The ability to climb and work from a ladder up to 30 feet from ground level.
* The ability to enter and work in crawl spaces and attics.
* Must be able to withstand working in extreme temperatures.
