As a Laundry Attendant, you will: Pay: $16 per hour Responsibilities: * Loads and unloads washers per machine guidelines. * Loads and unloads dryers per machine guidelines. * Stretches tangled sheets. * Runs towels through towel folder. * Manually folds towels and bedspreads. * Runs sheets through the ironer at the recommended speed. * Catches (collects) sheets and other linen at the back and stacks them in appropriate carts. * Sorts and soaks stained linen and terry in soaking bins. * Watches and reports malfunctioning problems with all equipment. * Transports linen and terry from sort and storage location to washers. * Understands how to safely use all equipment at the required productivity level. * Cleans lint from all machines in use during and at the end of shift. * Cleans working area regularly. * Works as a team with coworkers. * Keeps positive attitude at all times. Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. * Must be able to get along with co-workers, and work as a team. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and count to at least 50. * Must be available to work any day of the week and any shift. * Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. * Must present a well-groomed appearance. * Ability to stand, walk, lift at least 50 pounds, carry, push/pull, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, talk, and hear. * Manual dexterity to include handling linen and garments. * Ability to differentiate variations in color.
