				Overview:

The Clinical Lab Site Lead is responsible for patient care, specimen processing, technical and procedural operations, and laboratory analyses. The Clinical Lab Site Lead will serve as a primary contact for handling customer/patient concerns, taking immediate action when necessary, and communicates follow up to other members of the team.

Schedule: Full-Time, M-F 11AM-7PM with the ability to adjust start time 2 hours before or 2 ours after, with rotating weekends and holidays, Benefits Eligible

**$10,000 Sign on Bonus**

Responsibilities:

*  Responsible for researching, developing, and implementing new or improved procedures and instrumentation; performing quality control, quality improvement, regulatory compliance tasks, maintaining appropriate supply inventory, daily operations, and employee schedules, training, and orientation. 

*  Demonstrates knowledge of and upholds applicable laws and regulations related to position. Maintains knowledge of techniques, procedures, and protocols, lab-wide and within lab section. Reviews and acknowledges procedures as required. 

*  Maintains a safe environment. Wears appropriate personal protective equipment as designated by lab area. Reports spills and hazardous situations immediately and acts appropriately. Follows established guidelines for disclosure of patient information.

*  In Lab Testing Areas (non-waived testing): Fulfills the role of the CLIA "General Supervisor" for High Complexity testing and "Technical Consultant" for Moderate Complexity testing.

Qualifications:

Education Requirement: 

*  Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science; or a chemical, physical, or biological science from an accredited institution, required.

*  Site Leads who do not perform testing (QA oversight, CPA, phlebotomy, etc.) Associate's degree in a chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory technology.

Certifications: American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification, preferred.

Skills:

*  Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

*  Effective organizational and communication skills.

*  Strong computer skills to produce reports and graphs as needed. Demonstrates discipline-specific technical skills.

*  Promotes a team environment and maintains a cooperative and supportive atmosphere.

Experience: Two years' experience in a similar laboratory, preferred.
