Under the direct supervision of assigned physician(s), responsible for the provision of professional, quality medical care to patients based on structured guidelines and protocols. Supports the physician and other medical providers in the care and treatment of patients through a variety of means including rooming the patient, taking vital signs, collecting and recording data, communicating delays to patient, provider and team members and facilitating patient flow. Facilitates, communicates and collaborates with the physician and office team to identify and meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient and to promote/restore optimal health and well-being of the patient. Performs a wide variety of patient care support activities including scheduling ordered tests and exams, scheduling surgery and obtaining preauthorizations from insurance carriers. Assumes lead responsibility for the safety program of the practice, maintenance of established documentation standards by clinical support staff, and validation of clinical competencies. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

* High School Diploma or GED
* 1 year experience in medical office or ambulatory services/outpatient clinic setting
* LPN license to practice in Kansas 
* Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association

Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
