Overview:
We're seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in an office-based setting. This role works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care and ensure a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain active state LPN license and uphold patient confidentiality.
* Accurately calculate medication dosages and administer medications using universal precautions.
* Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during exams and procedures.
* Provide telephone triage and document all patient and provider interactions.
* Ensure authorizations and referrals are in place; notify billing staff as needed.
* Document correct CPT and ICD-10 codes for services provided.
* Clean, stock, and prepare exam rooms; monitor medical supply inventory.
* Communicate effectively and courteously with patients and families, treating all with dignity and respect.
* Follow OSHA standards, universal precautions, and patient satisfaction guidelines.
Qualifications:
Education:
* LPN state license required.
* Must maintain CPR certification.
Experience:
* 1+ years experience in pediatric nursing in office environment preferred.
* Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
