Responsibilities:
1) Technical Engagement & Problem Solving (Core Responsibility)
* Work onsite with leading semiconductor foundry processes, device, and design enablement teams
* Reproduce customer-reported issues using real leading semiconductor foundry PDKs and test cases
* Debug tool behavior, performance, accuracy, and stability issues
* Provide timely technical guidance to leading semiconductor foundry engineers using ADS platform
* Document issues clearly for R&D teams (repro steps, logs, minimal test cases)
2) EDA Product Validation & Co-Development
* Participate in early validation of new EDA tool features using leading semiconductor foundry internal test vehicles
* The validation is focus on RFCMOS, 3D-IC/Advanced Packaging, and Photonics/SiPh design flow.
* Evaluate tool performance on leading semiconductor foundry advanced nodes (7nm, 5nm, 3nm, etc.)
* Identify gaps between this leading semiconductor foundry process requirements and EDA tool capabilities
* Collaborate with EDA R&D to define, prioritize, and test enhancements.
3) Feedback Loop to EDA R&D (Critical)
* Serve as the "voice of this leading semiconductor foundry " back to Keysight EDA R&D
* Translate leading semiconductor foundry requirements into actionable product improvement requests
* Provide structured technical input for product roadmap discussions
* Participate in joint technical reviews between leading semiconductor foundry and Keysight EDA
4) Collaboration & Cross-Functional Interface
Work onsite at this leading semiconductor foundry closely with:
* Leading semiconductor foundry Design Enablement / PDK teams and reference flows
* leading semiconductor foundry Process Integration / Device teams (as needed)
* Keysight EDA R&D, Product Management, and Technical Team
5) Knowledge Capture & Best Practices
* Develop internal best practices for using Keysight ADS on this leading semiconductor foundry nodes
* Create technical notes, bug reports, and troubleshooting guides
* Contribute to internal technical enablement of other field and R&D teams
Qualifications:
Scripting capability is critical. Key programming skills include Python, SKILL, and MATLAB for automation and data analysis. Hands‑on experience with IC design, EDA tool validation, or CAD/QA support for advanced semiconductor technologies is highly desirable.
From a design‑flow perspective, the candidate should have deep, practical experience with Keysight EDA tools-specifically ADS and RFPro-or equivalent tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Clarity, or HFSS. 5+ years of relevant experience is appropriate for this role, with an advanced proficiency level as the expectation.
RFIC Foundry Experience (design/ packaging/ tape-out/ QA etc.) is an absolute plus and preferred.
