Location: Japan - Open to full-remote (international business trips may be required once or twice a year)
The Role
Are you passionate about designing impactful GenAI and data platform solutions? Looking to work remotely within Japan while shaping the future of cloud, data, and AI?
Join SoftwareOne's Data & AI Centre of Excellence as a Solution Architect. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical interface for our customers-from presales through delivery-ensuring trusted relationships and high‑quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support international sales teams in acquiring GenAI and data platform projects.
* Lead presales engagements, including technical discovery, solution design, and proposal presentations.
* Design scalable and secure GenAI and data platform architectures aligned with customer requirements.
* Lead major customer engagements in close collaboration with Delivery Leadership.
* Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance SoftwareOne's internal GenAI document processing platform.
* Mentor junior team members and champion best‑practice implementation.
Qualifications:
Essential Requirements
* Full‑time work rights in Japan and ability to work remotely within Japan (overseas travels may be required once or twice a year).
* Full Professional Fluency in Japanese and Working Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
* Experience in machine learning or a related field.
* Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, ML algorithms, and software architecture.
* Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (Keras, PyTorch, scikit‑learn).
* Experience with cloud ML services (Azure ML, SageMaker, MLflow).
* Basic understanding of IAM and RBAC.
* Experience optimizing deep learning or computational performance is a plus.
* Master's or PhD in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
Your Competencies
* Hands‑on experience in engineering and software architecture design.
* Deep understanding of AI/ML approaches, including Generative AI (LLMs, diffusion, prompt engineering).
* Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, Strands, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
* Experience working with cloud‑native GenAI services (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI).
* Strong business analysis capability to identify customer needs and translate them into solutions.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams across Data Science, ML Engineering, and Software Engineering.
About You
* Strong communication skills and confidence in customer‑facing engagements.
* Skilled in negotiation, risk management, and timely delivery.
* Highly self‑motivated with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
Nice to Have
* Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
* Knowledge of Git, Linux, Containers, and Kubernetes.
* Basic infrastructure knowledge (networking, storage).
* Familiarity with GPU architecture (CUDA).
* Cloud certifications - ML specialty.
