Responsibilities:
The Inventory Planner is responsible for managing inventory across control state/customer warehouses and Sazerac facilities to ensure world-class customer service at the lowest landed cost. This role builds strong customer relationships, drives process consistency, and identifies opportunities to reduce supply chain costs while improving profitability.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage inventory in control state, customer-owned, and Sazerac-owned warehouses, ensuring best-in-class controls and compliance.
* Partner with wholesalers and distributors to maintain zero out-of-stock (OOS) and zero cut cases, creating a competitive advantage in service and delivery.
* Leverage systems (including PDS) to track performance, identify improvement opportunities, and drive engagement across the VMI team.
* Lead cost savings and efficiency projects in collaboration with site stakeholders.
* Support sales growth and gross profit through inventory analysis, operational improvements, and continuous process enhancements.
* Document and streamline processes to ensure sustainability and repeatability.
Qualifications:
Must Have
* High school diploma or GED equivalent
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Strong analytical, technical, planning, and organizational skills
* Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
* Effective communication across all organizational levels
* Regular in-person attendance (Louisville - hybrid)
Preferred
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience in the alcohol beverage or CPG industry
* At least 1 year of experience in monthly inventory and accounting closes
