Responsibilities:
This key leadership position is essential for ensuring inventory integrity across all raw materials, Work-in-Process (WIP), and finished goods within the manufacturing environment. The supervisor will direct all control procedures, from systematic cycle counting and auditing to managing full physical inventories, crucial for maintaining production flow. A primary focus is on driving process optimization through data analysis and cross-functional partnerships to maintain high accuracy and support efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and oversee all site inventory operations ensuring compliance with all company inventory policies and procedures
* Lead cycle count and audit processes to ensure inventory accuracy through identification of discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
* Lead the Annual Physical Inventory at the site
* Perform root cause analysis on systemic and physical transactional issues and work with the appropriate teams to find resolutions
* Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to minimize inventory variances and reduce waste
* Maintain all inventory reporting and documentation integrity
* Manage and develop a team of inventory control staff, providing ongoing feedback and training
* Partner with cross-functional teams like Operations, IT, Engineering and Inventory Accounting to optimize inventory transactions and flow
* Ensure inventory policies and procedures are aligned and consistently applied across all Distribution Centers
* Regularly communicate status findings, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Engineering or a quantitative field
* 1-3 years of experience managing inventory in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills and Qualifications:
* Excellent leadership and team management skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex data clearly and concisely to executives
* Experience translating data to actionable insights required
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite
* ERP and WMS experience preferred
