What You Can Expect:

* Schedule: 0630-1600 M-F
* No on-call requirements; must stay until cases are completed
* Procedures include Ablations, Pacemakers, ICDs, Watchman.
* Equipment used Epic, LSPro hemodynamics, Boston Scientific Rhythmia mapping system and Carto mapping system.
* The Boise EP Lab is a busy 2 room procedural area averaging 8-10 cases a day. The EP team prides themselves as an exceptional team, working together to provide top notch patient care. St. Luke's EP is a well-established program with state of the art equipment and the newest technology.

Minimum Qualifications for this Role:

* Education: Associates degree or experience in lieu of degree
* Experience: 2 years relevant experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Must have current certification in one or more of the following areas:
* Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
* Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
* Registered Cardiovascular Technician (RCVT)
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
* Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS)

Responsibilities:

The EP Invasive Tech is responsible for assisting physicians in the care and management of patients undergoing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac or vascular procedures.

* Prepares patients for cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, and other cardiac/electrophysiology procedures.
* Identifies patient and physician needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
* Operates angiographic equipment and special procedures auxiliary equipment.
* Administers medications in accordance with protocol.
* Scrubs, circulates and monitors patients during procedures.
* Suggests recommendations for performance improvement.
* May function as a Lead RN for scheduling, coordinating, and training staff.
* May complete or assist in the completion of the employee evaluation process.
* Provides leadership to ensure compliance with regulations, infection control practices and policies/procedures.
* Exercises considerable judgement in applying professional knowledge in solving problems within established policies and practices. Serve as an expert and resource to staff.
* Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
