Responsibilities:
As a Interventional Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and treatment, operating complex equipment while ensuring patient safety.
Every day you will interact with patients, explain procedures, position them correctly, and monitor their well-being. You will also maintain records, adhere to safety protocols, and collaborate with healthcare professionals for optimal care.
To be successful, you need exceptional technical proficiency, understanding of anatomy and imaging, and compassionate patient care.
* Set up of Interventional procedure according to physician preference, standards of care and hospital protocol.
* Ensures exam order, work station system, equipment and patient is ready when physician arrives.
* Maintains competency in angiography/intervention suites, myelography/spine multipurpose room and intra-operative angiography equipment.
* Maintains competency in ancillary equipment such as injector, CO2 contrast set up, angio-jet, penumbra and other thrombectomy devices.
* Accurately and proficiently performs complex exams such as neuro embolizations, cerebral vascular attacks, litic/vasospasm infusions, TIPS, uterine fibroid embolizations, chemo embolizations, run-offs, CO2 angiograms, gamma knife and 3-D rendering.
* Assists the physician and associates before and during procedures as requested.
Qualifications:
Required
* Other Completion of approved American College of Radiology Technologist Program and Three (3) years of experience as an interventional technologist, upon hire and
* Medical Radiographer: AZ, upon hire and
* Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
* Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire
Preferred
* Associates Other Academic degree of Associates or higher recognized by the ARRT and Vascular Interventional (VI) registery, upon hire
