Responsibilities:

 The Supervisor of the Interventional Radiology (IR) department is accountable for the supervision and performance of IR daily operations, patient throughput, education, inventory management and ensuring compliance with standards of care for the designated service line. Responsible for other duties delegated from the Director of Imaging.

* Assists in management of day to day operations of the IR department  including patient throughput, collaboration with physicians and the IR patient schedule.
* Assists in hiring, evaluating, performing disciplinary action, and coaching of the staff in conjunction with the Director of Imaging.
* Responsible for staff education, including orientation and ongoing education to ensure competent, safe patient care.
* Works with external business partners to collaborate case support and team training.
* Responsible for ensuring properly functioning equipment and adequate supplies.
* Identifies opportunities for improvement and communicates via occurrence reports or direct communication with the Leadership Team.
* Participates in policy creation and/or revisions and staff compliance with the policies.
* Ensures quality control processes are completed per Lab and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborates with the Director of Imaging on budget, new capital equipment planning and achieving productivity standards.
* Serves as a role model to staff by daily participation in IR cases and post IR recovery of patients.
* Participation on accreditation teams or other hospital committees.
*  May rotate between campuses.
*  May work shifts or be in an "on call" status as needed by the organization

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience 
Associate's Degree in Nursing

Minimum of three (3) years of IR experience

Required Licensure and Certifications
Registered Nurse (RN)
BLS
ACLS

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
Ability to relate to people and handle complex situations; Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
