Responsibilities:
* What You'll Do:
* Under the direction of the Chief Audit Executive and Internal Audit Manager would assist in the internal audit initiatives as well as perform audits in accordance with the audit plan. As an integral member of the Internal Audit team, help the audit function keep pace with the audit needs of a public company focused on growth and expansion.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Under general direction, responsible for planning and performing routine and non-routine financial, compliance, and operational audits as well as other audit activities as assigned. Develop and execute unique audit programs based on risk assessments.
* Perform internal control walkthroughs and evaluates internal controls over financial reporting as part of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 testing procedures and communicate control findings to process owners/audit clients.
* Recommend improvements to correct identified deficiencies and/or to improve controls and procedures
* Develop risk-based audit programs outlining the audit's purpose, scope, and specific testing strategies and steps
* Execute audit programs, communicates audit findings to management throughout the audit, and prepares draft audit reports which include formal recommendations to management for review and implementation
* Conduct entrance conferences / walkthroughs at the beginning of each audit with key stakeholders
* Evaluate the level of compliance with relevant policies, contract requirements, laws and regulations
* Interact with and provide support to outside auditors
Qualifications:
* Minimum Qualifications:
* Education and Experience: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Use the guide below to determine education and experience for this position.
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or other related field
* Six (6) years of related internal or external auditing or public accounting experience.
* Government Contracting experience preferred.
* Desired Certifications/Licenses:
* CPA preferred, willing to obtain
* CIA preferred, willing to obtain
* Other Requirements:
* May work non-traditional hours as needed.
* Occasional travel as needed.
* United States citizenship, required.
* Skills:
* Ability to work independently and perform with minimal supervision
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
* Able to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization. Promote organizational confidence in the value and integrity of internal audit services.
* Strong analytical, statistical and problem-solving skills in order to evaluate opportunities for improvement/optimization of processes, quality, safety or other operational resources.
* Ability to build relationships and work well across functions.
* Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and drive analysis to appropriate conclusion.
* Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
* Ability to present clear, objective evaluation and articulation of risks, opportunities for improvement and internal control recommendations.
* Ability to organize and prioritize daily work.
* Ability to provide accounting and auditing technical guidance and training to end users.
* Technology:

* The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
* USD $ 75,000 - 120,000
* Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
