POSITION SUMMARY: ​The Internal Auditor is responsible for assisting with the execution of all phases of the healthcare system-wide audit process and preparing a report of results. Internal Auditors work on audits and advisory projects that have a broad scope and include identifying, analyzing, and addressing risks throughout the healthcare system and in some cases joint ventures. In this role, the Internal Auditor will develop a broad knowledge of all business operations and the associated risks and controls associated with complex, multi-disciplinary processes. Together with the audit lead and management, they will assist with the delivery of highly detailed and comprehensive analyses to leadership and partner with them to develop corrective actions to address risks while balancing the needs of the auditee with OSF clinical and operational requirements.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 Education:

Bachelor's degree,

or Associate's degree combined with 2 years of Internal Audit or related business or operational process review/audit experience.

Other skills/knowledge: 

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 Experience in the health care industry. Proficient in statistical analysis, sampling techniques and reporting methods

Licensure/Certifications: 

CPA, CMA, CIA, CISA, or CFE working toward obtaining certification within two years of assuming position.

Other Skills/Knowledge: 

Strong organization skills and ability to address multiple issues and coordinate multiple initiatives with appropriate prioritization.

Must be able to readily adapt to change.
