Qualifications:

The Internal Audit Intern works as an apprentice under the direction of the VP -Internal Audit and is responsible for functions needed in the Internal Audit Department. The Internal Audit will play a key role in the continued growth and success of the Company. Other key responsibilities include:

* Conduct operational audits, including reviewing purchasing card transactions, expense reimbursements, pharmacy claims and financial controls for compliance.
* Prepare audit reports, risk assessments, and presentations using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
* Assist with audit engagements, departmental projects, and serve as a resource for broader audit initiatives.
* Support the evaluation and enhancement of internal controls and risk mitigation processes to improve operational efficiency.
* Maintain, update, and manage audit-related data, records, and documentation.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support compliance initiatives and process improvement efforts.

Physical requirements
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors and all business associates outside of the health campus.
