Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Trilogy Health Services is looking for an Internal Audit Staff to join its Home Office team!

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Internal Audit Operational Intern to support our audit team on key projects and initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience in operational auditing, risk assessment, process improvement, and data analysis, offering a solid foundation for a future career in internal audit, compliance, or business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct operational audits, including reviewing purchasing card transactions, expense reimbursements, and financial controls for compliance.
* Prepare audit reports, risk assessments, and presentations using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
* Assist with audit engagements, departmental projects, and serve as a resource for broader audit initiatives.
* Support the evaluation and enhancement of internal controls and risk mitigation processes to improve operational efficiency.
* Maintain, update, and manage audit-related data, records, and documentation.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support compliance initiatives and process improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
* At least six months of experience in a clerical, administrative, or finance-related role.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with data analytics tools is a plus.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements 

              Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
