What you'll be challenged to do:
During your internship, you will collaborate with a highly skilled team and contribute to a diverse range of design projects. You will receive guidance, supervision, and mentorship from experienced engineers and professionals, all aimed at ensuring your success. Most of our interns go on to become full-time employees.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

* Perform structural calculations under supervision of the Lead Structural Engineer.
* Coordinate structural designs to meet project requirements using 2D and 3D software such as, RAM, RISA, AutoCAD, and Revit.
* Collaborate effectively with multiple disciplines and assist in field surveys.
* Review and organize structural shop drawings.
* Attend seminars to stay current with industry trends as directed.

Qualifications:

What you'll bring to our firm:

* Currently pursuing an ABET-accredited bachelor's or master's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering, with strong focus on Structural Engineering. 
* Demonstrated interest in structural engineering through past internships, work, or applied coursework.
* Basic understanding of AutoCAD and willingness to learn Revit.
* Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Capable of field inspection activities such as climbing ladders, hiking, and lifting 25 lbs.
* Written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
* Self-motivated, energetic, organized, with a strong drive to excel and learn.

What we prefer you bring:

* Coursework in structural analysis, concrete design, and steel design.
* Interest in pursuing professional licensure.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $20.00 - $28.00 per hour. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
