				Overview:

Waters Corporation is always looking to hire outstanding future talent for our company. The Global Operations Procurement team is looking to hire a summer intern out of our Milford, Massachusetts office on a hybrid work schedule. This internship is a phenomenal opportunity to gain real-world experience while working at the world's leading specialty measurement company. This internship will last approximately ten weeks and the program will commence in the spring into summer of 2025.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and post competitive bids to the supply base utilizing electronic platforms, and serve as the primary conduit for supplier inquiries 
* Prepare information and insight for negotiations using data on previous and forecasted spend, volume, and competitive offerings 
* Perform spend data analysis to target opportunities for improvement 
* Conduct market research on select commodities through a full spectrum of industry resources, and communicate with commodity leadership on changes in market dynamics
* Monitor sourcing projects and report on costs savings, deliverables, and milestone status 
* Updates key market indices and closely track contractual escalator clauses 
* Evaluate data to identify supply risks, identify areas for improvement, and ensure alignment of forecasts with demand data for suppliers 
* Provide information on critical supply shortages to support operations 
* Coordination of supplier performance data and creating content for supplier business reviews

Qualifications specific to this role:

* Pursuing a degree in supply chain, business, finance or related field
* Possesses strong skills in data analysis tools such as Excel and PowerBI 
* Shows comfort with analytics; has ability to structure basic financial analysis and can evaluate P+L statements
