				Overview:

The Data Science team is seeking an intern to provide support for data collection and preparation that support study designs and the implementation of statistical analyses. 

This is a full-time position that will span over the course of 10 weeks. The program will start Monday, June 2nd, 2024 and end Friday, August 8th.

Responsibilities:

* Data Collection and Management:
* Assist in the collection, verification, and management of data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
* Prepare datasets for statistical analysis, including cleaning, transforming, and structuring data according to project requirements.

* Support in Statistical Analysis:
* Provide logistical support in the design and implementation of statistical analyses under the guidance of senior statisticians.
* Help in the development and testing of statistical models according to study designs.

* Collaborative Learning and Development:
* Participate in regular training sessions and meetings to understand the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for statistical tasks.
* Shadow experienced statisticians to learn about the end-to-end process of statistical studies, from conceptualization to execution.

* Communication and Reporting:
* Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations to communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
* Document processes and results to facilitate knowledge sharing and transparency within the team.

* Gain foundational knowledge in selecting appropriate statistical methods and parameters for different types of study designs.
* Learn to formulate research questions and hypotheses suitable for statistical testing.

* Develop skills in data preparation techniques, including data cleaning, transformation, and integration.
* Acquire hands-on experience with statistical software and tools used in data analysis.

Qualifications:

* Educational Background:
* Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a bachelor's degree program in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

* Technical Skills:
* Basic understanding of statistical methods and their applications.
* Experience with a programming language (e.g., R, Python) is preferred.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Personal Attributes:
* Keen interest in learning more about statistical analysis and data science.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

* Communication Skills:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
