We are determined to leave a lasting legacy for generations to come. MPE, a division of Englobe, is seeking a Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our team in our Grande Prairie MPE office. The Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our Municipal Infrastructure team. Responsibilities: Your main responsibilities * Oversee and manage municipal engineering projects from inception through completion * Perform design, construction site inspections, and contract administration duties * Develop and review engineering design drawings, specifications, and contract documents * Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards * Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success * Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines * Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technologists Typical Projects: * Replacement and upgrade of underground water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure * Development of water treatment and pumping facilities * Wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment facilities * Infrastructure assessments and studies Qualifications: What makes you unique * B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and eligibility for professional membership with APEGA * Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in construction observation and contract administration * Working knowledge of water and wastewater distribution and collection systems * Proficiency in computer software for modeling and spreadsheet analysis * Demonstrated aptitude for general construction methods * Strong business acumen and understanding of municipal infrastructure projects * Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere * Self-motivated with leadership potential * Excellent verbal and written communication skills If you are a motivated and experienced engineer looking to make a significant impact in the Grande Prairie area, we encourage you to apply.
