Insurance Follow-Up Representative IINovant Health

* Analyze and manage patient accounts to resolve outstanding balances, ensuring compliance with payer policies and minimizing accounts receivable and bad debt exposure.

* Perform day-to-day follow-up on insurance claims, working assigned work queues (WQs) to resolve denials, process appeals, and manage takebacks, offsets, recoupments, and PLB segments.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer-specific guidelines, including timely filing limits, appeal processes, and refund requirements for both primary and secondary insurers.

* Collaborate with internal teams, including Compliance and Revenue Cycle departments, to resolve complex account issues and prevent recurrence.

* Track and trend denial patterns, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements to reduce preventable denials and escalate concerns appropriately.

* Handle payer correspondence, including denial letters, to ensure timely resolution and accurate documentation.

* Participate in regular reviews with leadership, presenting audit findings and suggesting workflow or system adjustments to enhance efficiency.

* Demonstrate adaptability by working across various WQs, ensuring resolution of aged accounts while supporting departmental productivity goals.

Qualifications:

* Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
* Experience: Minimum one year of related work experience, required. 
* Additional Skills (required): Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience operating computers/laptop. Clear and pleasant speaking voice on the telephone, hearing acuity that allows for understanding over the telephone, prolonged sitting, visual abilities and manual dexterity that allows the use of PCs for extended periods of time. Ability to operate 10 key keyboard. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed. Ability to work from home as needed.
* Additional Skills (preferred): Basic accounting and medical terminology.
