As an Instructional Support Specialist you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. Every day as an Instructional Support Specialist you will: * Assist in establishing classroom environments that is conducive to maximum learning by maintaining structure and guiding students to socially appropriate behaviors * Responsible for the children's welfare, safety, and location at all times, including during arrival and dismissal * Work with the Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups * Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by Special Education Teacher * Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives You will be offered: * Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52 week year round position) * Pay-rate: $17.50 - $19.95(based upon experience and education) * An Environment that is supportive, educational and clinically focused. * Opportunity to work directly with children diagnosed with Autism 1:1 within a structured classroom environment with Special Education Teachers, Behavior Analyst and Autism professionals. * You will increase your knowledge and improve your skills related to behavior intervention, functional assessment and collaboration with a team that is inclusive and individualized. * BENEFIT ELIGIBILITY AFTER 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT (1st day of the 30 days) mydevereuxbenefits.org * ASCEND - Career Accelerator Program Devereux Center for Autism Research and Education Services (CARES) is an educational program licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that provides services to students, ages 5 to 21, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. Associates Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university preferred. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred. Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
