Responsibilities: GFT is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services Team in Middletown, NY. This role requiring regular attendance in Middletown, NY office. We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. What you'll be challenged to do: We are seeking a Construction Inspector to support our growing team in the Orange County, NY area for upcoming projects. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that construction projects meet quality, safety, and compliance standards while working alongside a team of dedicated professionals. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: * Must perform all testing/inspections in a timely manner and adhere to Gannett Flemings Quality Management Protocols (QMP) * Complete daily inspection reports on a daily basis * Represent the client and Gannett Fleming interests in a professional manner and appearance * Be onsite during contractor work activities * Report and take directions from the Resident Engineer Qualifications: What you'll bring to our firm: * High School Diploma * NICET Highway Construction Inspection Level II, III, or IV * Experience with NYSDOT preferred * Must understand comprehensive construction drawings, standard specifications and Shop Drawing submittals * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Computer literate including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Windows * Ability to travel and work flexible schedules including overtime and potential nightwork * Must be physically capable and willing to work outdoors, maneuver difficult terrain and pass a medical evaluation * Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to, from and around project locations Compensation: The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $125,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
